Wedding Planning Timeline
Three Months Before the Wedding
Pick out your
wedding bands: It takes time for the bride and groom to get
their rings sized to their fingers, since most places will
need to ship your rings to another location for this
process. You also need plenty of time to find and agree on
the ring style you both like.
Send out
invitations: Give your guests plenty of time to mark your
wedding day on their calendar. Sending out invitations early
also helps you with caterer planning and seating
arrangements at the
reception.
Visit the
doctor: This is a good time to get blood tests drawn, if
required by your state. Also alert your doctor to where you
will be taking your honeymoon, in case immunizations are
needed prior to traveling.
Other
Three-Month "To-Do" List

ushers.

Purchase imprinted
napkins, centerpieces, and
take-home favors.

·

Two Months Before the
Wedding
Choose wedding
flowers: Give your florist plenty of time to get your
wedding bouquet made, as well as boutonnieres for the
ushers.
Book a place for
rehearsal dinner: This is a good time to make sure that you
have a place booked for the rehearsal dinner. Have an
accurate count of guests so you are sure to have enough room
reserved for a large amount of people, if
applicable.
Make hotel
arrangements for out-of-town guests: Make sure friends and
relatives have a place to stay, if traveling from out of
town. Some hotels offer discounted rates, if you can give
them an exact count of people staying
overnight.
