The maid of honor speech is usually one of the most sentimental moments in the wedding process and tied with the father of the bride speech for being the most sappy. You can choose to give a traditional sweet and sappy speech or do something a little different. Here are some ideas of other kinds of speeches or things you can do for your maid of honor toast.

Write a poem
A fun poem about the two of you and your relationship, the things you love about your friend, times you have had together or other things can be really special and something she can keep forever to put in a scrapbook later on. Plus everyone will commend your creativity in putting it together.

Reflect on old memories
Talk about the first time you met, your most embarrassing or funny incidents, how you feel about her husband (if it’s good news only that is, no negativity) and how you still have lots of more wonderful memories to make together.

Collect all your favorite photos of the two of you through the years and make into a story of sorts. Narrate on the video or narrate live as the photos are shown. It will be bittersweet and touching.
