 As the father of the bride
your daughter’s wedding day is especially emotional for
you because no matter how old she is you feel like your
time to protect her is over and you’re passing the torch

born
This can be a very emotional time
and the beginning of everything so you might choose to start
here and talk about the first time you saw her and what you
felt becoming the father of this beautiful little
girl.
Walking her down the
aisle
You can take a moment to speak
about the experience of walking her down the aisle to the man
of her dreams and how it felt to know she was so happy and she
would be well taken care of. If this is too fresh in your
memory or you’re unsure how you feel still then just skip
it.
The day she told you she was getting
married
Were you excited? Scared? Sad?
Unsure what to feel? It’s good to talk about it and share how
you felt then and if that has changed and why. It can be a
bittersweet moment if there was a change of emotions especially
if you became more sentimental or excited about the marriage as
the process went along.
Meeting her husband for the first
time
Did you like him? What did you
say to her about him? Maybe you gave him an interrogation or
sat outside cleaning guns when he approached so he would know
you meant business and his little girl was not to be

Let your daughter know how proud
you are of her and everything she has done and become. It will

is
Is your daughter the best person
in the world? Tell everyone how terrific she is and how you
couldn’t have possibly asked for a better daughter or asked her
to be any better or perfect than she already
is.
How honored you feel to be her
father
Show your pride and tell her and
everyone else how excited you are to be her father and how you
brag about her to everyone you meet. She is a princess and you
should continue to tell everyone that.
