Rings exclusively made of colored gemstones or a combination of diamonds and gemstones, are often less expensive than traditional diamond wedding rings.

Modern wedding rings frequently use square, princess cut diamonds as solitaires for engagement rings or encrusted across the wedding band. Slivers of diamonds called baguettes are also an option on both men’s and women’s modern wedding rings. For wedding bands that are wrap arounds of an engagement ring, using the same shape of stone typically depicts the clean, streamlined style of modern rings.
